Tony Johnson
President Owner, General Contractor
Tony began his career in the contracting business in 1978, and obtained his General Contractors license in 1984. Through his desire to build with higher standards and proficiency, he co-founded M&J Developers in 1986 and became owner and President in 1992. Tony has built a successful contracting firm that applies design, affordability, and client communication in each and every project. Through his leadership and vision, M & J Developers, Inc. has grown into an organization offering strategic building solutions in home building and remodeling.
Barbara Johnson
Vice President, Financial & Human Resource Manager
Barbara joined the company in 1989 as our Financial Manager. She is responsible for all aspects of the accounting department, which includes payables, receivable, general ledger, banking, and payroll. Barbara also provides all financial reporting for the company. She takes care of cost & profit reconciliation for Investor sales and assists Business development in all project closings. Barbara manages our Human Resource Department and office.
Erick Johnson
Project Superintendent
Erick became part of M & J Developer’s family in 1997. He has over 17 years’ experience in the home building industry. As a Project Superintendent, Erick is responsible for all activities during the execution phase of the construction, from the beginning until the project is completed. He assures that all customer requirements and expectations are met or exceeded and that company objectives for cost, quality, and project completion timelines are achieved.
Mike Randall
Project Superintendent
Mike became part of M & J Developer’s family in 2017. He has over 30 years’ experience in the home building industry. As a Project Superintendent, Mike is responsible for all activities during the execution phase of the construction, from the beginning until the project is completed. He assures that all customer requirements and expectations are met or exceeded and that company objectives for cost, quality, and project completion timelines are achieved.
David Lincoln
Field Technician, Quality Control
David has 25 years’ experience in all areas of the home building industry. He is a valued team member of M & J Developers, Inc. assisting the field management personnel in all phases of the project. David assures our clients that the final details are handled properly to ensure them of the premier quality that M & J Developers expect in all their homes. David ensures the clients’ vision for their cabinet design comes to fruition.
Darris Gentry
Field Technician, Cabinetry Installer
Darris joined us in 2020 and has quickly become a critical member of the M & J Developers team. As a valued field resource, Darris is one of our cabinetry installers and also plays an important role in many of the other aspects of the building lifecycle. He is extremely personable and always looking to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction with the end product.
Joe Pezik
General Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, General Contractor
Joe joined M & J Developers in 2015. As a valued member of our sales & marketing team & a general contractor, his responsibilities include general oversight of the business, Client & REALTOR® relations, new home sales, and marketing (including social media / web). Joe strives to provide individualized & attentive service, expert advice, and a solutions-oriented attitude. As a licensed North Carolina Real Estate Agent / REALTOR®, Joe is available to assist clients with all of their real estate needs including lot search, purchase or sale of existing homes, real estate investment properties, etc.
Eric Green
Sales & Design Consultant
Eric joined M & J Developers in 2021. Prior to joining the team, he served our M & J Developers clients well working at one of our vendors. Eric has several years of experience in the building industry with a solid working knowledge of tile, plumbing, cabinetry, granite, closet systems, and many other building products. As a Sales & Design Consultant, Eric assists our clients during the design and pre-construction phase. Eric's knowledge and helpful nature is a tremendous value in helping clients make the important decisions required prior to the start of a construction project.
Travis Johnson
Finance & Administration Associate, Sales & Marketing Assistance
Travis is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Charlotte and joined M & J Developers, Inc. in 2011 where he obtained his NC Realtors Brokerage License. Travis is responsible for assisting the Financial Manager in all aspects of payables, receivables, banking, and Financial Reporting. He also handles payroll and many of the Human Resource functions for the company. Travis is a valued member of our Sales and Marketing Team.
Brad Jones
Senior Designer Estimator, Project Manager
Brad joined M & J Developers in 1987. His interest in residential design and estimating began in High School where he started designing house plans professionally. Brad received his degree in Architecture from Guilford Technical Community College. As Senior Designer Estimator, he ensures every design, engineering, and system on each project meets the high quality standards of M & J Developers, Inc. As our Senior Estimator, he manages and coordinates with management staff in the field and office, vendors, and suppliers to ensure materials are on the job sites on schedule. Brad also handles many duties and responsibilities as a Project Manager overseeing project progress.
Austin Jones
Design Associate
Austin started with M & J Developers working part-time after school and during the holidays while earning his degree in Architecture from Guilford Technical Community College. He became a full-time designer for us in 2010. Austin designs the plan using CADD with 3D capabilities that allow you to see what the final product will look like. His attention to detail assures a proper design that allows a better understanding of the design, engineering, and efficiency for a more value-oriented and satisfying experience.
Cameron Jones
Design Associate
Cameron started with M & J Developers working part-time after school and during the holidays while earning his degree in Architecture from Guilford Technical Community College. Cori Close
Client Services Manager
Cori started with M & J Developers in 2019. Prior to joining the team, she served our M & J Developers clients well working at one of our vendors. Cori has many years of experience in the building industry with a solid working knowledge of tile, plumbing, cabinetry, granite, closet systems, and many other building products. As a Client Services Manager, Cori assists our clients in the selection of interior and exterior finishes for your new home. With a keen eye for design and attentive listening skills, Cori has an exceptional ability to create a functional and aesthetically pleasing space with the client's vision & budget in mind. Cori's number one priority is to deliver a quality relational experience unmatched in the industry, making the process of building your custom home a memorable and fun experience!
Madison Pezik
Accounting Intern / Office Support
Madison has been working with M & J Developers part time for several years as an Accounting Intern while attending school. She is currently a High Point University student and plans to graduate in 2026. Madison's primary responsibilities include change order & dues invoicing, special accounting projects, website management & maintenance, plan book management & maintenance, filing, job close outs, etc.
Ellie Jones
General Office Assistant
Ellie joined the M & J Developers in 2023 as a member of the Finance team in the role of General Office Assistant. While Ellie's primary function is accounting & finance support, she also assists the team by performing other tasks related to general office support, plan book maintenance, filing and helping with other special projects.

President & Vice President Of Staff Support
Axle & Liesel are long-term members of the M & J Staff Support Team. They can often be found lounging around the office, taking their moral support positions very seriously.
Jill
Secretary of Staff Support
Jill has been a staple member of the staff support team at M & J Developers since 2012. Jill is known for greeting every guest with excitement and enthusiasm.
Jack
Chief Security Officer of Staff Support
Jack joined M & J Developers with Jill in 2012. Jack is known for patrolling the M & J Office, being sure that all visitors make it safely to and from their cars.
Tom
Manager of Staff Support
Tom has been a member of the M & J Developers Staff Support Team since 2015. Tom is known for his eagerness to greet office visitors. Tom's biggest responsibility is to manage the rest of the Staff Support Team.
Jax
Director of Staff Support Operations
Jax recently joined the M & J Staff Support Team in July of 2022. Jax is known for his silly personality and for constantly making the M & J Team smile.
